OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of POF Central Library offers a user-friendly and efficient way for patrons to explore the library's collection. With OPAC, users can easily search for books available within the library. The system allows for detailed searches by title, author, subject, or keyword, making it simple to locate resources. OPAC also provides real-time information on the availability of items, allowing users to check whether a resource is currently checked out or available for borrowing. A dedicated computer system has been installed at the entrance of the book section of the library to search the OPAC. However, patrons can also access it remotely through the library’s website.

POF Central Library is committed to providing an optimal environment for study and reading. To ensure comfort, the library is equipped with a central HVAC system and an uninterrupted power supply, creating a pleasant atmosphere year-round. For added convenience, there are dedicated reading rooms for male, female and children. Additionally, the library accommodates members who wish to study their personal books on-site, further enhancing the overall experience for all patrons.

Kindle Device
Members can request for Kindle Devices available at computer section for the study of books in soft form. The mentioned device contains about 5,500 books in it already. The devices are available for use within library premises.

Book Suggestion
Members can request for books if it is not available in the library. They just need to get a form from acquisition section and submit the duly filled form to Acquisition Incharge.

Park Reading Rooms
Central library is also providing services in 5 reading rooms located in different parks of POF Estate Area. TThese reading rooms are a valuable resource for local residents, students and children, offering convenient access to reading materials beyond the regular hours of POF Central Library. Equipped with a curated selection of books, magazines and newspapers, these community-focused reading rooms are strategically placed in green, relaxing environments, encouraging visitors to read and enjoy books while surrounded by nature.

The library offers separate, designated study areas for men, women, and children, ensuring a comfortable and focused environment tailored to their specific needs. These spaces are equipped with study carrels to facilitate concentrated study, providing privacy and minimizing distractions. Each area is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of its users, featuring age-appropriate seating and resources in the children's section, as well as ergonomic furniture for adults. Additionally, these study zones are enhanced with computers and internet access, enabling users to conduct research, complete assignments, or access digital learning resources seamlessly. Security Measures
Security Personnel have been deployed for checking identity, looking after the visitors, preventing losses, thefts and pilferage. Moreover, security cameras have also been installed within the library building.
