POF Central Library foremost objective is to promote educational and cultural activities and to update the standard of the literary activities, literacy rate in Wah Cantt.
POF Central Library was established in 1984. Its building has covered area of 37,000 sq ft at a cost of Rs. five million. Lt. Gen (R) Talat Masood HI(M). SBt, Chairman POF Board was its innovator, who inaugurated POF Central Library on 09th October' 1984. Whereas Late Abdul Malik Ex-FAOF was its founder, who laid down its foundations stone on 18th July' 1982, his contribution towards initiating proposal, construction and establishment are immortal, may his soul rest in peace. The foremost objective of its establishment was to promote educational and cultural activities and to update the standard of the literary activities, literacy rate in Wah Cantt. Further more to boost up the technical skill, recreational and healthy trend in order to relieve the tiresome of POF employees by working in industrial environment. The purpose was added by facilitating the researchers, scholars and educationists without any discrimination of membership in the larger interest of the state and nation.
